Meet Kevin Zomermaand "Zome", owner of Zome's Construction, Inc., his wife Stephanie; son Riley (6), and daughters Avery (3) and Sophia (1).
Kevin and Stephanie met in October 2001 and were married 10 months later in September 2002. They have three kids. Riley is 6 and will be a kindergartner at Sioux Falls Christian Preschool in Fall 2010. Riley's main interest is farming and John Deere Tractors. He loves going to Grampa Arnie's farm and helping out with various farming activities. The only thing he asks for Christmas and his birthday are tractors, "so I can have enough for a farm sale." He is playing T-ball this summer and is very excited about that as well.
Avery will be 4 on June 14, 2010. She is a preschooler at Sioux Falls Christian. She loves drawing, painting and anything to do with dolls. She also loves going to Grampa Arnie's farm and riding 4-wheeler.
Sophia is 15 months and loves her brother and sister. She is an early talker, about every other day she says a new word. Her main goal at this time is to escape outside anytime the door gets opened.
When Kevin has spare time he takes Riley and Avery out to his parents farm and they ride the 4-wheeler and the tractors. Kevin also enjoys playing softball, grilling, and hanging out with friends.
Stephanie stays home with the kids, and in her spare time she is a Creative Memories Consultant. She also helps with the business, doing bookwork, working on the website, making brochures, and answering emails. She enjoys scrapbooking and reading.
Kevin and his family are members of Shalom Christian Reformed Church, and their kids attend Sioux Falls Christian School.
About the business...
Kevin started Zome's Construction, Inc. in 1997, when he was 22 years old. He started with various projects - some framing and siding, but mostly roofing. In 2001 he built his first house. Since then he has built all different styles and sizes of houses; gaining much experience over just a short period of time.
Selecting a plan is one of the first steps in building a new home. Kevin works with his customers from the very beginning - by helping them design a plan that meets their individual needs, while at the same time creating a home with a distinctive look they can be proud of.
Just the right touch can be added to a home to make it stand out among all the rest. Zome's Construction accomplishes this by creating custom fireplaces and millwork - turning an average house into a beautiful home at a reasonable cost.
Zome's Construction has a group of subcontractors and suppliers that share his goal to create quality homes with an affordable cost. They use only top-of-the-line equipment, quality materials, and state-of-the-art technology from the basement walls to the roof in every home.
